White Winter Truffles, Tuber magnatum

White Winter Truffles have a very short season which will vary from year to year. Typically, they can be found from October/November through to the end of December/beginning of January, depending on the climate conditions in the region.

Once opened, these highly prized truffles reveal a light brown flesh with pale and intricate marbling. Their exquisite umami flavour is offset with notes of garlic, shallots, and a mild honey-like sweetness.

White Winter Truffles are best enjoyed when finely sliced or shaved over a dish of your choice such as pasta or risotto.

Once foraged each truffle can generally last between 5-7 days when stored correctly. For best results we recommend consumption within 3 days of receiving your fresh truffles.

The fascinating variance of truffles mean they will differ in shape and size. The weight of all fresh truffle orders will be rounded up, with the quality of each rigorously checked to ensure they arrive in optimum condition and shipped in specialist refrigerated packaging. Given their highly perishable nature we recommend you refrigerate on receipt and follow any storage details sent with your shipment.
